Welcome to Jetstar’s September edition of our Trade Newsletter.
This month we look into the details of the exciting announcement the Qantas Group has made regarding the restart of our International Services. Jetstar have been busy making enhancements to our Travel Agents Page and also the Agent Hub. We also provide you with an update on our new Aircraft A321neo LR due for 2022 to arrive in our Fleet.
International Flights
The Qantas Group (Qantas and Jetstar) is preparing for a gradual restart of international flights from mid-December 2021 to some of our international destinations in line with current projections for Australia’s vaccination program and the vaccination roll-out timelines of the countries we fly to.
If projections change or dates move as a result of changing border restrictions and demand, our restart plans will adjust accordingly.
We will keep customers updated if there are any cancellations or changes to their bookings, providing a range of options.
COVID-19 Schedule Changes
Due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions, we have adjusted our schedules. As restrictions change or ease, our schedules may also change. If you or your customers flight is impacted, we will email the booking contact, explaining what the options are. A reminder of the importance of contact details in all bookings.

THE AIRBUS A321neo LR
Jetstar Airways will take delivery of the first three A321neos early in the second half of calendar year 2022. The arrival of our first NEO was postponed due to the impact of COVID-19. In total, Jetstar expects to add 18 brand new Airbus A321neo LRs into its fleet.
- These next generation aircraft are significantly more fuel efficient and have an extended flying range which provide us with more network options.
- The Airbus A321neo LR can operate from the East Coast of Australia to places like Bali, which is Jetstar’s most popular international destination.
- The NEOs – in particular the LR which can fly a further 1,200 km than the current generation of A321s - can operate efficiently in both domestic and international markets.
- Over the coming months we will be mapping out the destinations for our Airbus and Boeing fleet in keeping with demand and border openings.
- The A321neo LR has an expanded seating capacity with optimised use of cabin space and a new cabin door configuration.
- An Airbus A321neo LR is the enhanced version of the A321 which has a new engine option (NEO).
- The A321neo LR has Airbus’ “sharklets”, which are aerodynamic devices installed on the tip of each wing to produce fuel efficiencies of up to 15 per cent.
- One of the main benefits of the A321neo LR is its longer range, as this new aircraft is able to fly routes of up to 4,000 nautical miles. It will enable Jetstar to tap into new long-haul markets that were not previously accessible with current single-aisle aircraft

The Travel Agents Page and Agent Hub.
Great news! Jetstar have upgraded our Travel agents page and also the Agent Hub! Our Jetstar.com page has been redesigned for you to easily access important information for Travel Agents.
Travel Agents | Jetstar The Travel Agent Information Centre can now be accessed thru Agent Hub. After logging in, you will see the link that will redirect you to the Information Centre.
Did you know that Jetstar Vouchers are now listed as payment options as part of the booking flow.
Covid 19 ECP Voucher Extensions
- Jetstar credit vouchers issued as a result of COVID-19 disruptions to have an expiry date of 31 December 2022.
- As Jetstar’s flights are published up to one year in advance, this means customers will be able to use their vouchers for travel up until the end of 2023.
- Remember, ECP vouchers are multi-use and can be used across multiple bookings - any outstanding credit from one booking can be used towards another.
