Jetstar Update

Dear Valued Agent,

Welcome to the November edition of the Jetstar Newsletter.

This month we have exciting update for Jetstar Group, as Stephanie Tully has been appointed to replace current Group CEO Gareth Evans.

We also would like to share some figures on how our newest domestic destination in Australia, Busselton (Margaret River region) is performing, and for those who haven’t yet experienced our Business Class, we have prepared a highlight of our Business Class offering on our international B787 Dreamliner flights that can take you and your customers travel to the next level.

As we approach the Summer School Holidays and Festive Season many customers will be using their travel vouchers. We’ve prepared a simple guide and reminder about our vouchers, how to redeem them and their expiration dates.

Jetstar look forward to welcoming you onboard soon.

Introducing our new Jetstar Group CEO

Following the announcement in June that current Jetstar CEO, Gareth Evans, will leave his role by the end of calendar 2022, Qantas Group’s CEO, Alan Joyce has announced Stephanie Tully as the new Jetstar Group CEO. Stephanie is a passionate and experienced leader and during her almost 20 years with the Qantas Group, has led teams across both operational and commercial areas of the organisation, from crewing to marketing, loyalty and product design.

As the Group’s Chief Customer Officer for the last three years, she also brings to the Jetstar Group CEO role a deep understanding of the customer experience. This is really important as we continue to stabilise and improve our operational performance as demand for our low fares continue to grow.

Six months of low fares on direct services between Melbourne and Busselton

Our newest domestic destination has seen a very successful first six months, with more than 25,000 customers flying between Melbourne and Busselton since our inaugural flight on 6 April 2022.

We’re expect to fly 14,000 more customers over the upcoming Christmas and summer holiday period - our first since the route launched.

Jetstar Chief Customer Officer, Alan McIntyre said Jetstar has seen incredibly strong demand for the services. “With three return flights each week between Melbourne and Busselton, it’s never been easier or more affordable for interstate and international tourists to access Margaret River and the region’s world-class wineries and beaches, and for south-west locals to head over east”, Mr. McIntyre said.

Since April 2022, our three return services a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays provide the direct link between Australia’s east coast and one of WA’s most desirable travel destinations.

We’ve seen that most of our customers spent between five and seven days in Western Australia.

Customers are encouraged to book early to secure the cheapest seats as fares between Melbourne and Busselton currently start from $161 dollars for travel in May and June 2023.
